ICMF / Layer-2 EVM

The Role of ICMF and Layer-2 EVM in ChoccySwap

Chromia’s network topology is best understood as a series of individual chains running in parallel. ICMF (Interchain Messaging Facility) is a protocol on the network that allows each chain to ‘talk to’ and exchange information and assets. Swaps that occur entirely on Chromia’s base layer will utilize ICMF.

Chromia’s roadmap includes the addition of Layer-2 functionality for EVM chains (Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, etc.), opening the possibility of completing cross chain swaps within CCY’s interface once available.
